Very fine 19th century snuffbox in horn and inside in vermeil - boar head hallmark on the left and master goldsmith to be identified.
Hunting decoration of forest and deer.
The "boar head" and master goldsmith hallmark is present on the 3 silver parts (inside of the lid, inside of the snuffbox and belt of the lid).
Very nice assembly of the different parts of the snuffbox, a small lack in a corner of the lid which does not detract from the quality of the object.
Inside the snuffbox there is a paper on which is written:
"Snuffbox given by the prince d'Isembourg to the aide-de-camp of general Wagram?"
