Napoleon III-style Sideboard, Made In France, Late 19th Century
A sideboardof French manufacture, dating from the late 19th century (circa 1890),crafted in the Napoleon III style, renowed for its rich ornamentation.
The piece features a wooden frame embellished with gilded metal ornamentation and delicate decorative motifs on the front and beneath the top. The top is made of light-coloured marble.
The front door, finely decorated with a central panel adorned with floral motifs and stylised details, has a wooden interior with two shelves, dividing the space into three compartments.
Inside, there is also an original label from the Parisian manufacturer: “23 Rue de la Roquette – SCHAMBER - Fabrique & Magasin de meubles de luxe - Genre Boule & Bois de Rose - Paris”.
The dimensions of the cabinet are 80 x 40 x 112 cm.
It is in fair condition, with signs of wear consistent with its age and use. Some metal elements are missing or detached, as shown in the photographs. The marble top is intact.
