Mid-19th Century Red Marble Column
Refined column in French Rouge Griotte marble, also known as "king's marble," and characterized by striking white veining. The column has a square base, as does the top, and is embellished with a capital and gilded bronze trim at the base. This is an object of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class to any decor and also serving as a pedestal for sculptures and objects. French manufacture from the Napoleon III period, around the mid-19th century.
