Tinted Blown Glass Pill Box 17th - 18th Century 17th 18th Century
Green-tinted glass pillbox with its handwritten label from the Frisch pharmacy in Tours indicating "Senné mondé", featuring a hollow hemmed base, a short leg topped by a disk and a pear-shaped container with thin rim.
South of France (?), 17th - 18th century.
Dimensions: height 13.5 cm - leg diameter 6.7 cm approx.
A very similar example is shown in Jacqueline Bellanger's book "Verre d'usage et de prestige" on page 424.
Superb object in very fine material, nicely deformed, with numerous air bubbles in the foot, in perfect condition.
