Louis XVI walnut jumper chest of drawers - 18th century

Elegant Louis XVI period solid walnut commode sauteuse, late 18th century French work.

It opens on the front with two wide dovetail-mounted drawers, fitted with bronze keyways and pull handles. The uprights are adorned with fluting extending onto slender spindle feet, characteristic of the Louis XVI style.

The top features a beautiful old walnut double plank with a warm patina acquired over time. The sides are panelled and the inside of the drawers is made of resinous wood, as is customary for furniture of this period.

The set offers an elegant, balanced line, typical of late 18th-century jumping chests of drawers. Highly decorative, it will easily find its place in a classic or contemporary interior.

Beautiful original patina and good used condition.
