Walnut Secretary, Restoration Style - Mid-19th Century

This Restauration secretary is a piece made of solid walnut and walnut leaf veneer on the front. At the top, a drawer is concealed in the waistband. The flap, fitted with a key and functional lock, opens to reveal new black leather, adorned with a gilded vignette and refined central motif. Inside, two large niches and five drawers of varying sizes with brass knobs provide ample storage space. The lower part of the cabinet features three large lockable drawers, embellished with magnificent chased bronze escutcheons and handles. The whole unit rests on rounded, profiled legs. This piece of furniture seduces with its elegant lines, rich materials and subtle details. Its leather, multiple storage compartments and ornate drawers make it as practical as it is decorative. A real favorite for lovers of antique furniture.
