Daum Flower

Daum flower frog decorated with violets on a bed of foliage. It is acid-etched in multiple layers and enhanced with fine gilding that highlights the leaves. The background features a gradient of violets and mauves for the centerpiece and bottle green for the leaves. Signed Daum with the Cross of Lorraine, Nancy, in gilt under the rim. A brass lid at the top is designed to hold small flowers for an original and precious decoration. A rare piece from the glassmaker's lifetime.
