Important and elegant bronze table thermometer with rich decoration, surmounted by an eagle with spread wings, symbol of power and imperial inspiration.

The set features abundant decoration in the Napoleon III / Second Empire style, with scrolls, rocaille motifs, masks and finely chiseled plant elements. The tripod base, particularly elaborate, offers beautiful stability and underlines the ornamental quality of the piece.

In the center, a double-reading Celsius / Fahrenheit thermometer is integrated into a decorative frame. It is signed "Tempus" at the bottom.

The golden-brown patina highlights the sculpture's reliefs and details, giving the object a remarkable decorative presence.
