Neoclassical Set Of Three Bronze Columns And Spheres
Neoclassical set in brown patina bronze of three columns with fluted shafts in the Antique style supporting three spheres of increasing size.
Probably Italian or Spanish work, 20th century.
Height: one 25.5 cm, the second 29.5 cm and the last 38 cm.
This is most likely a set produced as part of the Grand Tour. Its antique inspiration is reminiscent of the marble balls brought back from Rome, often presented on turned wooden bases.
The set is presently entirely in bronze with a black-brown patina.
(Good overall condition, some wear, presence of fixing holes under the balls).
