Building Or Bell Tower Clock By Clockmaker Paul Odobey, 1896
Magnificent bell tower or building clock by clockmaker Paul Odobey, manufactured in 1896 in Morez-du-Jura.
This clock comes from a church in central France.
In perfect working order, it was restored 15 years ago by a professional.
The mechanism is complete with its weights and pendulum.
The case is cast iron, and the parts are brass, steel, and bronze.
Its original dial is also present, left in its aged state to preserve the patina.
It is also in working order, complete with its hands and timer. The bezel (molding around the clock face) is made of wood covered with zinc.
The oak stand is also original, as is the hammer that struck the bell.
It measures 1.43m x 88cm x 1.56m, including its stand. The dial is 1.20m in diameter.
It is difficult to estimate the weight, but at least 150kg. We will handle the disassembly and labeling of parts for transport and easy reassembly.
