Large Carrara Marble Bench, Italy Early 19th Century
This original bench was made from an antique marble vat in the early 19th century. The relief decorations on all sides are of exceptional quality, and the side griffins are carved in relief.
The vat is probably of Roman origin, and its transformation in the 19th century took place in the same place.
