Charles Kvapil was a Belgian painter of the École de Paris, of Czechoslovakian origin.born in November 1884 and died in Paris in 1957.His first works were exhibited in 1908 at the Salon d'Anvers and continued until 1914.After the First World War, during which he was mobilized, CharlesKvapils moved to Paris, setting up his studio in the Hameau des Artistesdes Artistes, between rue Lepic and no. 11 avenue Junot.Villiers sur Morin, rue du Touarte.He first revealed himself to the Parisian public in 1920 at the Salon desthe Salon des Indépendants and went on to become increasingly well known, eventuallyMunich, Brussels, Geneva, Italy, Stockholm, London and New York.London and New York.Today, he is represented in numerous public and private collectionsthe Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris, the museums of Le Havre, LibourneLibourne, Rouen, Saint-Étienne, Amsterdam and Tunis.
