Lovely Renaissance - Louis XIII style solid walnut armchair with leather-covered back and seat.
Also known as a "chaise à bras", our chair rests on two rectangular-section rear legs and two baluster-turned front legs. The four legs are connected by an H-shaped brace.
The straight armrests are embellished with leather-covered sleeves, and the end of each armrest is terminated by a spherical ball that also joins the armrest supports.
The seat of our chair is very comfortable, and both the backrest and the seat are covered in attractive tan-colored leather that has acquired a beautiful patina over time.
Some stains and marks of use are due to the age and use of this seat.
The whole is embellished with a beautiful finish made with golden and pyramidal nails.
