A Dehua Blanc de Chine standing figure of a lady with “de la Fontanges” European hairstyle.
Kangxi period, ca. 1680.
The moulded figure with long robes and her hair in a high piled coiffure, probably holding a conch shell in her left hand.
Dimensions:
Height 24.5 cm, width 6.3 cm, depth 5 cm.
Condition:
Good visual condition, with a chip to the back of the lady’s hair and some kiln flaws in the form of two pieces of kiln grit adhering to the back with glaze pulling which is also present at the middle of the right side. No additional damage found under UV light.
