Engraving "General Bertrand" - Louis-Philippe.

This 19th-century engraving portrays General Henri-Gatien Bertrand (1773–1844), one of Napoleon Bonaparte's most loyal figures, who followed him into exile on Elba and Saint Helena.

The work depicts him in full Napoleonic-era dress uniform, with fringed epaulettes, a diagonal sash, and several decorations, including the plaque of an order of chivalry.

Below the portrait is a commemorative inscription in French praising his courage and unwavering loyalty, even in adversity.
