Belgian painter, draughtsman, author, art critic.
Roger Van Gindertael trained at the Académie de Bruxelles where,after two years in architecture, he became a pupil of Herman Richir(1915-1919). In Paris, he was an important art critic in the 1950s and 1960s, supporting non-figurative painters in his articles and prefaces, and organizing many of their exhibitions.
