Coffee Table With A Napoleon III Style Top
A coffee table with an oval painted sheet metal top resting on four turned and fixed wooden legs (not detachable). The red-ground top is decorated with a painted and gilded design depicting vine scrolls and bunches of grapes framed by a double fillet and a foliate frieze border. It has two openwork handles. The piece is in good condition with wear consistent with its age: scuffs, loss of gilding, and marks on the top.
