Marquetry desk from the Nancy School (Emile Gallé). Walnut veneer desk with floral marquetry (poppies, sunflowers, etc.) in precious woods. The recessed front panel features two side drawers, one above the other, positioned above an open niche. Includes a letter tray and a beveled mirror. A drawer in the front, beneath the desktop, is surrounded by a gallery of openwork circles. The front legs are tapered, and the rear legs are sheathed. Nancy School, Emile Gallé.
