Giltwood Mirror From The Napoleon III Period
Stuccoed and gilded wooden mirror dating from the beginning of the reign of Napoleon III, around 1850/1860.
Its rounded upper corners are remnants of the Louis-Philippe style and place it in the transition between the two styles. Its pediment with volutes, shell and flowers follows the origin of the curves. Its body is decorated with alternating braids of piastres and rows of pearls. The mirror is in good overall condition.
