A beautiful and large pair of curtains made from a remarkable antique printed cotton with a rich and decorative design, typical of the eclectic taste of the Napoleon III era.

The particularly refined design consists of a repeating pattern arranged in lozenges, enclosing large stylized elements of botanical and oriental inspiration.

These motifs evoke palmettes, stylized flowers, and geometric ornaments reminiscent of Ottoman or Persian-inspired textiles, very fashionable in 19th-century interiors.

The whole unfolds against an elegant deep green background, highlighting a warm palette blending golden beige, coral red, powder pink, and shades of ochre.

The symmetrical compositions and graphic lines give this textile a very strong decorative presence, characteristic of furnishing fabrics from the second half of the 19th century.

This pair of curtains retains its original rings, evidence of its original use, and is generously sized, allowing for a full drape.

Dimensions: Height: 278 cm Width: 119 cm (per panel)

A beautiful antique decorative textile, ideal for dressing a large window or reusing for decorative projects.
