Artist’s note:
Piero Todeschini (1888–1945) was an Italian painter active in the first half of the twentieth century, best known for scenes of everyday life, landscapes, and popular subjects. His painting belongs to a lyrical realism, attentive to the rendering of light and the narration of simple life, with post-Impressionist and Verist influences. His works stand out for the spontaneity of the brushwork and for their ability to convey intimate and authentic atmospheres, making humble gestures and the human dimension of labor and rural life their protagonists.
