Carved wooden pharmacy cabinet, displaying the attributes of pharmacy, the caduceus. Indeed, the caduceus is the oldest emblem of pharmacy. This symbol, which can be seen here on the panel to the left and right of the pendulum movement, depicts the serpent of Asclepius coiling, uncoiling, and turning its head towards the cup of Hygieia, daughter of Asclepius and goddess of health.
