Victorian-era Silver-plated Metal Biscuit Tin

Late 19th century Victorian silver-plated folding biscuit tin. Its base bears the hallmark of the renowned silversmiths Fenton Brothers of Sheffield, England, as well as the Staniforth patent mark and registration number W 8632. Its shell-shaped body rests on a molded structure adorned with finely chased branch-shaped supports. The interior features elegant hand-opened dividers. The opening mechanism allows it to open in two parts. The tin closes with movable laurel wreath rings. In very good condition.
