Pair Of Chrysalia French Silver-plated Candelabra, Early 20th C.

Artist: Chrysalia
This refined pair of French three-light candelabra, attributed to the maker Chrysalia, dates from the early 20th century and reflects a timeless neoclassical elegance. Crafted in silver-plated metal, each candelabrum stands on a circular base decorated with delicate reeded and beaded borders, offering a subtle yet sophisticated foundation.

The central stem rises in a clean, tapered form, accented by a finely cast foliate collar. Three elegantly scrolled arms extend outward, each supporting a candle holder with a wide drip pan and finely beaded edging. The ensemble is crowned with a distinctive pinecone finial, a classic decorative motif symbolizing refinement and continuity.

On the underside, the pieces are stamped “Chrysalia” along with the number “20”. Chrysalia is known as a French silversmith or metalware manufacturer active in the early 20th century, producing quality silver-plated tableware and decorative objects in traditional styles. The number “20” likely refers to the thickness of the silver plating (commonly expressed in microns or as a plating standard), indicating a relatively good-quality silver deposit for durable use.

The silver plating remains in very good condition, with a soft patina and light wear consistent with age, enhancing their authentic charm. These candelabra would make a graceful addition to a dining table, mantel, or refined interior.
