A Richly Carved, Solid Oak Norman Wedding Armoire From The Louis XV Period.
A richly carved, solid oak Norman wedding armoire, dating from the Louis XV period/18th century. The high-quality carving features abundant decoration of grape bunches, foliage, flowers, birds, and a central basket, typical of regional French furniture (Normandy). The doors are framed by carved uprights with a decorated central pilaster. The high cornice is finely crafted with a raised floral frieze. The shaped base is also carved. It retains its original long brass handles. The lock is functional with an antique key. The interior includes shelves. The armoire is made of solid oak with a sound and robust structure. Highly decorative, it is ideal for period interiors, country homes, rustic chic decor, or as part of a collection. Dimensions: Height: 231 cm, Width: 170 cm, Depth: 56 cm. Condition: Good overall condition. Some normal signs of wear (see photos): interior wear, small marks on the wood, original patina preserved. No restoration; the armoire is stable.
