Superb silver and vermeil pectoral cross, exquisitely crafted in the treatment of the vermeil and silver, depicting the Virgin Mary at the foot of Christ, with cherub heads at the end of the cross. Hallmarks are present above the Virgin and above the INRI (later verification). French work from the 18th century. In good used condition, with a normal patina of age and some wear to the vermeil. A small crack at the bottom near the cherub heads does not affect the overall fragility. Weight: 37 grams. Dimensions: Height: 15 cm, Width: 6.7 cm.
