JAPAN - MEIJI period (1868/1912)
Round, gadrooned porcelain bowl with a crenellated rim, decorated in the IMARI style with a floral basket within a central rosette surrounded by floral reserves alternating with bands decorated in gold with flowers and foliage. Birds and flowers are depicted within reserves in the shape of lotus blossoms.
