Table Or Desk Ospite Charlotte Perriand
Artist: Charlotte Perriand
Table by Charlotte Perriand, created in 1927 for her Parisian apartment on Place Saint-Sulpice. Model: Ospite. The table extends to the desired length, between 1.75m and 3m, thanks to a system of roll-up slats that slide on telescopic rails. The table consists of three elements: the chromed steel base in the form of a double trestle; at the other end of the tabletop, the rectangular box in matte white lacquered wood that houses the tabletop when it is rolled up; and the tabletop itself, covered in a washable, matte black, rubber-like technical material. Numbered edition. Produced by Cassina between 1980 and 1989. A similar model was presented at the exhibition "THE NEW WORLD OF CHARLOTTE PERRIAND" at the Louis Vuitton Foundation from October 2, 2019 to February 24, 2020.
