19th Century Stone Putti
An exceptionally large (136 cm) 19th-century stone putto. Made in Italy, it was long displayed in a garden, which has developed a beautiful patina with moss. The sculpture is full of exquisite and beautiful details, such as the vine that gracefully twines around the putto's body, the tree trunk with leaves behind, as well as the figure's detailed anatomy and serene expression.
