Victory Medal 1914-1918 'Inter-Allied'. Cristesco exhibited equestrian plaster casts at the Salon from 1908 onwards (many depicting horses belonging to Romanian aristocrats). Show jumping is Cristesco's best-known subject – it is also known as "A Matter of Self-Love." The artist had an expressive style that was both dynamic and static, giving an impression of a fleeting and frenetic moment. Bronze with a brown/grey patina – oxidations – unsigned. Circa 1920.
