Pair of Empire period candelabra in patinated and gilt bronze, representing Bacchantes, Priestesses of Bacchus carrying a thyrsus, a staff surrounded by ivy and vine leaves, a symbolic attribute of Bacchus, topped with tazzas. Our candlesticks have two lights, they are placed on a square base decorated with quarterons on which rests a sphere supporting the Bacchantes.
