Hippolyte Moreau (1832-1927), after. Bronze sculpture with a brown patina depicting a young woman dancing, her arms raised. Signed on the back, at the bottom of the dress, "Moreau". Circular base in pinkish-orange marble. Art Nouveau style. Early 20th century.

Hippolyte François Moreau (1832-1927) was the second son of the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau (1797-1855) and trained in his father's workshop in Dijon. He won medals for his work at the Universal Exhibitions of 1878 and 1900. Most of his works are held at the Dijon Museum of Fine Arts.
