Charles Félix Deshayes

Artist: Charles Deshayes 1831-1905
Charles Félix Édouard Deshayes, born in Toulon on November 9, 1831, and died in Kremlin-Bicêtre on February 20, 1905, was a French painter. Deshayes settled in Paris after his father's death in 1851; he studied with Bernard Sénéquier and Louis Français and made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1864.[9] He exhibited in Philadelphia in 1876.[10] This painting, in the style of the Barbizon School, is enhanced by a very fine 19th-century frame which slightly obscures the signature in the lower left corner and the date 1878. Visible dimensions: 30 x 50 cm. Shipping by us with custom packaging and insurance.
