A young woman with two greyhounds, in bronze with a brown patina, on a Portoro wood base, signed Louis Riché (1877-1949). At only nineteen years old, he was the youngest sculptor to exhibit at the Salon. Subsequently, his meticulous work in animal bronzes led to his inclusion in several prestigious Parisian exhibitions. He continued to sculpt and create until his death in 1949.
