Portrait of a Gentleman in a Dressing Gown by Giuseppe Passeri, 17th century, oil on canvas.
Attached in the photos is the sheet by Yuri Primarosa.Portrait according to the classic three-quarter pose, the right hand is vaguely oratorical and the left resting to highlight the presence of the unusual console with a leg in carved and gilded wood in the guise of a harpy. The painting fits well within the scope of Roman painting and the portraiture of Gaulli and Ferdinand Voet, among the major exponents of the genre in Rome of those centuries. The attribution to the hand of Giuseppe Passeri is strengthened by the comparison with the portrait of Costanzo Patrizi, now in a private collection.
