Antique polychrome wooden altarpiece element dating from the mid-18th century. Elegant arched structure adorned with foliate scrolls and volutes. Two winged cherub heads appear on the side panels, while a third cherub dominates the composition in a radiant glory embellished with golden stars. Beautiful polychromy, combining blue, white, and gold. The crescent-shaped base was designed to hold a statue or devotional object. A lovely piece of popular devotion and decoration, with a charmingly naive and authentic feel. 67 cm high. Good condition.
