IMPOSING 19TH CENTURY BRONZE WITH BROWN PATINA, AFTER THE PROOF EXECUTED BY JASQUES BOUSSEAU (1681-1740). JACQUES BOUSSEAU WAS A PUPIL OF COUSTOU; HE RECEIVED THE FIRST PRIZE FOR SCULPTURE IN 1705. THE BRONZE DEPICTS ULYSSES STEALING THE BOW, OF WHICH PENELOPE IS PRESENT TO BE THE PRIZE.
