Sterling Silver Coffee Pot – George III – London 1776
Magnificent English sterling silver (925/1000) coffee pot, George III period.

Late Rococo repoussé and chased decoration: friezes of blooming flowers (roses, peonies, sinuous foliage), scrolls, and central cartouches with engraved coats of arms (monogram or family crest in an oval cartouche surrounded by volutes and flowers – typical of custom orders from the English aristocracy).
Finely chased handle and spout with matching floral motifs.

Lion passant (925/1000 sterling silver),
crowned leopard's head (London assay office),
date letter "a" (cycle 1776-1777),

Dimensions and weight:
Total height: 25.5 cm,
Diameter at base: 11 cm,
