Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Pendant – White Gold and Platinum
An elegant Art Deco teardrop pendant, crafted in 18k white gold and platinum. This piece features a central old-cut diamond (approx. 0.10 ct) in a claw setting. It is beautifully highlighted by a geometric surround of calibré-cut sapphires, further outlined by a delicate border of rose-cut diamonds.
The pendant hangs from an 18k white gold cable link chain.
French workmanship, circa 1920-1925.

Condition:
This pendant is in beautiful vintage condition. The central diamond displays a fine whiteness, despite a few natural inclusions visible under magnification. The sapphires boast a deep, intense blue; one stone shows a very slight nick, tiny and invisible to the naked eye. The rose-cut diamonds possess the typical charm of antique cuts, with their characteristically irregular facets (one minor chip noted).
Please note: A small green mark (ancient enamel or resin) is present at the junction between the bail and the pendant. While its origin remains uncertain, it blends discreetly into the piece's overall aesthetic.
