1920 “cérulea” Sapphire Ring, Sapphires And Diamonds

Elegant "Cerulea" Art Deco Sapphire Ring
In 950 platinum, this ring is centered with a natural rectangular cushion-cut sapphire, weighing approximately 1.30 ct, set in a millegrain bezel. The sapphire is framed by a scalloped surround of old-cut round diamonds, followed by calibrated sapphires. The gallery is finely worked with a delicate frieze, while the palmette-shaped shoulders feature a small rose-cut diamond.

Characteristics:
Estimated sapphire weight: 1.30 ct, natural, very few inclusions.
Estimated diamond weight: approximately 1 ct, clarity SI, color G-H.
Ring size: 47.5 (adjustable with two sizing beads).
Total weight: 4.2 g (950/1000 platinum – head of dog hallmark).

Condition:
Minor surface scratches on the main sapphire.
Main sapphire color: deep blue with a slight greenish tint, even throughout.
The calibrated sapphires show an intense midnight blue; 4 or 5 stones have minor chips.
The diamonds (approx. 0.10 ct each) are SI clarity, G-H color, in generally good condition.
