Celadon Porcelain Dinner Service, Haviland Limoges, 56 Pieces.
Magnificent celadon porcelain dinner service, Haviland Limoges, 56 pieces. On a celadon green base, the entire set features a polychrome floral design in shades of green, blue, and gray. The plates display six different floral motifs: Tulip, Bindweed, Daisy, Anemone, Daffodil, and Wild Rose. The set comprises: 24 dinner plates (diameter: 24.5 cm), 12 dessert plates (diameter: 22 cm), 12 bowls (diameter: 20 cm), 1 large oval platter with a separate compartment (35 cm x 27.5 cm), 1 round serving bowl (diameter: 32 cm), 1 oval tureen (approximately 28 cm x 21 cm), 1 pie dish (diameter: 31.5 cm), and 1 salad bowl (diameter: 19.5 cm). Two small serving dishes (23 cm x 14.5 cm). One gravy boat (24 cm x 15 cm). Perfect condition. A delicate piece, soft colors, the hand-painted decorations create a lovely relief. Celadon pieces were often more expensive than white porcelain pieces, requiring a special firing technique that has been virtually abandoned by Limoges porcelain makers. A very chic and timeless piece!
