Ernest Bussière Art Nouveau Vase "receptacle"
Superb gourd-shaped vase in fine earthenware, fired at low temperature, with an iridescent glaze and metallic sheen, matte and glossy, known as "glass skin." Signed KG Lunéville and Bussière. The model takes its name from the flower's pedicel, which supports all the floral elements. It illustrates Bussière's talent as a sculptor, who focused his work on the plant structure, often retaining only one aspect to create a realistic work with fluid and modern lines. Circa 1900-1910.
