Wrought Iron And Gilded Console Table In The Provençal Style
A superb, albeit flawed, wrought iron console, partially gilded in the style of 18th-century consoles from southern France (Comtat Venaissin). It features a double curve on the front and sides, a 3cm thick royal red marble top with a corbelled edge, and a thicker 4.5cm marble base. The black and gold patina dates from the mid-19th century.
