20th Century Gilded Italian Console

Early 20th-century Italian console table. Finely gilded and carved wood furniture with anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures and floral decorations in antique style, of high quality. This salon console table features a non-original wooden top, replaced over time, lacquered in a faux marble finish, of good size and serviceability. The side uprights are adorned with large winged cherubs. At the center is a cherub's face in relief, and at the bottom, connecting the legs, is a large winged dragon figure.

This console once housed a recessed mirror in the back (see photo), now missing. The console table is supported by four sturdy legs, with onion-shaped front feet featuring a curled decoration on the top. A striking furniture for antique dealers and interior decorators, with a beautiful patina. Structurally sound, it has small losses of gilding and some signs of age. Overall, in good condition.
