Paris 1738-1744, Silver-mounted Imari Porcelain Jug, Intact
Artist: Inconnu
A very elegant covered pot or jug in Imari porcelain, mounted with a solid silver rim and hinge. The style is still Regency, and on the back of the shell is a countermark bearing the "lizard" emblem of the Paris tax farmer, dating from 1738-1744. The porcelain is absolutely pristine and its colors are magnificent.
