Pair Of Louis XVI Period Gilt Candlesticks
A pair of Louis XVI style candlesticks in finely chased and mercury-gilded bronze.
The round base is decorated with a frieze of water leaves surmounted by a beaded border. The fluted and reeded stem, decorated with asparagus spears, supports a round socket also adorned with the water leaf motif.
The inscription "BM2" is engraved beneath the base of each candlestick.

Very good condition; very slight wear to the gilding.
