We present this incredible and prestigious 19th-century piece of silverware, crafted by Maurice Mayer (1801-1864), who was the silversmith to Emperor Napoleon III and, before him, to Louis Philippe. Our piece comprises a large chocolate cup and saucer, both decorated with engraved and chased oval appliqués. The handle is in the form of a winged cherub, both pieces are multi-lobed, and the saucer features six cherub heads. This unique piece weighs 360 grams.
