Comtoise Clock With J. Revel Movement In Vonnas
Comtoise clock with its original movement by J. Revel in Vonnas (Ain). The case, typical of Comtoise clocks, consists of a straight, glazed top, a curved shaft, and a base with an overhanging plinth. The repoussé brass pediment is richly decorated with colored floral and foliate motifs. The pendulum is also in repoussé brass, decorated with flowers and leaves and a sailboat in its center.
