A large portrait of a woman in a blue dress, wearing a striking diadem-like hat adorned with ostrich feathers. Such dresses were common around 1810-1815, at the end of the First Empire in France.
On page 339 of François Boucher's book, one can find a portrait of Isaline Fé by Firmin Massot, circa 1810, depicting the same dress without a low neckline but topped with a collar reminiscent of the ruffs of previous centuries.
Also worth seeing is a portrait of Germaine de Staël by Vladimir Borovikovsky in 1812, with a very similar headdress. These elements suggest that this is not a French school but most likely a Swiss or Austrian one.
