Important Louis XV Style Bronze and Crystal Chandelier – 20 Lights – 19th Century. This very elegant Louis XV style chandelier in bronze with a gilt patina is richly adorned with cut crystal drops and pendants. The twenty lights are arranged in two tiers, with undulating arms decorated in a rocaille style, each holding a molded crystal bobeche with a radiating pattern. The entire piece is lavishly embellished with prisms, pears, and beaded chains, and terminates in a central crystal ball. It boasts exceptional decorative quality and great luminosity. Made in the late 19th century, circa 1880 – the chandelier is electrified and in working order. Dimensions: Height: 110 cm Diameter: 75 cm Number of lights: 20 Very good overall condition.
